Currently serving as the HDI Motown chapter president, Michael previously held the role of VP of programming for several years and has been an active member of HDI for over 15 years.  Michael is the Vice President of Client Delivery with NTT Ltd. and leads the team responsible for providing exceptional IT services to over 500 clients.  Mike is an experienced manager with 25 years managing technical support service and business processes teams, with proven capabilities in solutions engineering, operations, project and program launch management, employee development, and customer relations.

Thom Golden has been HDI Motown’s VP of Finance since 2017.  Prior to that he enjoyed helping the Motown board as VP of Communications/Webmaster and participated as a chapter member since 2007.  Thom spent 35 years at Fiserv, a fortune 500 FinTech company.  Much of that time he was the Technical Support Manager for a team of dedicated folks who supported financial institutions across the US.    Thom holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the University of Phoenix.  He enjoys international travel, classic cars, and lake living activities like paddleboarding and kayaking.    

Scott Smith is serving on the HDI Motown Board as a second year member for 2024.  He is currently serving as the VP of Communications.   He joins the board with 16 years of experience in IT Support and IT Service Management, with 11 years in a leadership role.  His success and passion has been building successful teams, processes, and services by focusing on business alignment, customer needs, and team culture.  Scott holds a BBA degree with a major in Computer Information Systems from Davenport University.

Kristi Lawrence served as the VP of Communication for HDI Motown from November 2015-August 2021, and involved in HDI as a member for many years previously. She currently is the District President for the southern United States and assists with HDI at a national level serving on the Leadership Development committee.  For her day job,  she currently works as the Manager of End User Services at Tyler Technologies utilizing IT Service Management practices, the ITIL framework and the best practices learned from being involved in HDI.  Kristi holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Northwood University.
